Prayer Services: Another First: Bridgeport

As noted in other issues, prayer services offer a special alternative to Mass, as a way to include survivors and their families and friends who are not comfortable attending Mass. We’re sending thoughts and prayers to the survivors and others gathering in the Diocese of Bridgeport on Wednesday, November 2, for a Service of Peace, Hope and Healing for those who have been affected by clergy abuse of minors. The Most Reverend Frank Caggiano, Bishop of Bridgeport, will lead the prayer service, which will include music, readings and fellow survivors. The service was coordinated by a planning group of survivors, in conjunction with the diocese, as reported in the local paper where more details may be found.
