HEALING VOICES RECOGNITION: BROOKLYN

Healing Voices Special Recognition

The Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn held its annual Mass for Hope and Healing on April 26, 2017 at Saint Anselm Church. The Mass was well attended by survivors who live locally as well as survivors who came from out of town. Many priests and bishops attended. There were testimonies from survivors and beautiful songs. The Healing Voices would like to extend our gratitude to Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio of Brooklyn, his fellow, bishops and clergy and, especially, Jasmine Salazar, Victim Assistance Coordinator, for creating, in a growing support community, a tradition of comfort and reconciliation in which even we who are not present can share using links below. For more info, click here. For the sermon from this Mass, by a deacon and a survivor of clergy abuse, see here.

This special recognition was first announced in the May 2017 issue, which may be viewed in full here.
